Summer - missing presumed lost
Can anyone tell me what has happened to summer? We seem to have had days and days of rain and today the temperature hasn't even got up to 17C. My children seem to think I ought to be able to make the rain stop but sadly (or rather thankfully) omnipotence hasn't been granted me in the sphere of weather. Actually does anyone know - is there aever likely to be an invention which will control the weather?

The machine you need is called a hyperhemispherical-geotank. It's available from specialist industrial suppliers in the US and is able to temporarily affect local (within 500m) weather conditions for a time period of up to 30 minutes if calibrated correctly! Best hope that you've been good for Santa this year as prices start from $3.7 million. Oh, and you'll need military clearance to put in a purchase order....
